“You Know”, ” I Mean”–DON’T Use Words That Are Common Culprits of Cramping Communication. Use a “Pregnant Pause” Instead To Gain Impact

SITUATION:
Many experts overuse these words. Just watch business news on TV as part of your Work Day..
We may be using these “hooks” in our daily contact with other people.

SIGNICANCE:
Filler words & phrases (um, you know, like) make you sound unprofessional and less credible.
These “vocalized pauses” (filler words) will “severely cramp your communication.”

SOLUTION: Five Fillers to Avoid

The five filler words and phrases to avoid are:
1. So.
2. Uh.
3. Right?
4. You know.
5. I Mean

And add “Look” which is also a word that President Biden uses and should not;

Also “Like”  is a turn off in ear use.
